Twice a Week?!? What?!?

Hey guys!

So I'm actually posting twice this week just because I've had a pretty adventurous day to day that warrants some story telling. I'm currently spending the weekend with Aunt Janet to get away from school and the drama that's been coming with it (Mom suggested a few days away and Janet was happy to have me around). I actually slept for a good chunk of time last night, which was super nice. I've been desperately needing some sleep. This morning was nice and chill, Gordon and I watched some informational TV, one thing explaining how gorilla glass is made and the other talking about what the biggest living thing on earth was (which, by the way, I called: It was a mushroom. Gordon can prove it since I basically said "It's gonna be a mushroom" out loud before they revealed it a good five minutes later.). We then had some eggs, bacon, and hash browns on toast (burnt!!!! Man I love "burnt" toast!!!) for breakfast, which was good.

Janet and I had made plans to go and visit with Grandma K this afternoon, so as soon as we had showered and got ready we were heading out the door to Ogden. She was having a good day, which was nice. According to Janet her mood has been flipping all week from good days (being her sassy old self) to bad days (looking pale and crying in pain), so it was a happy thing that we got her on a good day. She's great. Talked a lot about bowel movements and how much she likes the potatoes at the rehab place. It was great.

After that, we returned to Janet's house and I worked through some homework that I had this weekend. We talked and chatted and made plans to make cookies tomorrow. Then it came... the dreaded eye contacts appointment. In a sentence: It wasn't fun. I couldn't put the contacts in my eyes and I couldn't take them out at all. I was getting frustrated and worked up the more and more I was there until the doctor basically said that it was probably a good idea to just get prescription goggles. But boy, by the end of it, I wasn't happy.

Gordon met us at Fat Fish. Earlier they had warned me that they were going to go and eat the last things on the menu there. I saw that there was a noodle dish that I was good with eating, so I had said yes. However, while I was there, they convinced me to try two of the sushi rolls there. Both of them didn't have fish, because they knew that I didn't like seafood normally. I didn't like one of them, it had cucumbers and it was really sweet, however, the other one, I think it was called the Green Giant (It had onions, green beans, and some kind of green sauce), I really liked that. Janet and Gordon had to laugh when I asked to have some more of it (I ended up eating only half of my pasta and having sushi). And somehow, Gordon convinced me to try some of the raw fish there, giving me a small chunk of seared ahi to eat. It was so gross! It was cold and kind of rubbery from being seared. I didn't like it. But the Green Giant was really really good.

Now we're just chilling and watching Janet's dogs being doofs. We had them chase some lights a little earlier, so now they're all tuckered out (well as much as Emery can be). I'm gonna try and get more homework done while we're watching the season premier of some show called proven innocent. So yeah... that's been my sort of fun day.
