So It's Been a While

Hello guys.

So it's been a long while since I last wrote, and that is apparently a mistake on my part. I am no longer on campus, as they sent an email out the day right after my last update saying they wanted people to go home. This meant that I signed up to leave that Tuesday and stayed with Janet until Wednesday before heading home to Boise. Sadly, I had to be there to experience the earthquake and some of the aftershocks, which did not help the general feeling of anxiety that I was going through at the time, but I got home safe and sound. I've spent the last two weeks working online to do school, which hasn't been great, but it isn't awful.

I had a test last week, and I'll have another one this week, but this one involves proctorio (and it's BioChem which is bleh), so let's hope that it works out well. I'm doing okay in classes. I've finished all but one assignment for one of my classes, and I have to work bit by bit in the others. Herpetology has been a roller coaster as has my lab, since we have to wiggle around to figure out what is best and what isn't. So, yeah. Online school has been a bit of a learning curve and a doozy in one.

Being home has been weird too, especially with the "room-mate agreement" that we made with our parents. We have certain tasks to do each day and during the week while we're here but otherwise, we're free to make our own choices. Or, as our mom likes to say, "You can do whatever you want, including going to jail". It's been a repeating joke.

For fun Maren and I have still been writing together and earlier this week my parents revealed that they had bought a switch for me as an "early graduation present" that I will have to pay back if I don't graduate this year. I should be able to do my part though, and I've been able to play Pokemon: Shield for a good amount of time. I just defeated Opal (Fairy Gym Leader) recently, and I think the next one I have to deal with is the Ice Gym Leader which will be... fun. Opal's crazy and really scary (she reminds me of Yzma from Emperor's New Groove). Outside of that, Steven Universe Future ended too in a way that I was really happy with. It's a much better show than Steven Universe in my opinion, but that's an opinion, not a fact for everyone.

So yeah, that's been my life. Still haven't caught COVID19, which I'm happy with, but our area is under a lockdown of sorts from the governor, so it's been a little crazy.
