Thank Goodness for Family Weekends

Hello, everyone. This week’s entry might be all over the place since I didn’t take notes the entire time and therefore can’t remember everything. I sadly stopped around Wednesday, so I got halfway there. Thankfully, I had family in town for the latter half so they know more details about that if I forgot something.

Monday started out online again, along with the R-group, which was strange. I got all my homework done though, which was nice. Therapy happened and we talked a lot about the roommate situation, the date with Dallin, and some school stuff. It went like usual, which is seeming to not be helpful if my parents are right about it. The Freeman meeting had Ariel presenting about her research on Schizophrenia and Oxytocin, but we’ll have an actual paper to talk about this coming Monday. When I wasn’t doing any of that, though, I was studying really hard for my neuro class final test that happened on Tuesday. Allie joined me later on in the day to help, which was nice of her. I was able to play a bit of Sky too, which was needed for a break. And there was a foreshadowing snow that night as well.

Tuesday was a giant snow day from start to finish. We got eleven inches of snow over night which led to so much tree damage that they cancelled school until noon. It was all fine and dandy… until the power went out. Which meant it was significantly harder to study for my test even more. Anyways, the morning passed quickly with more sporadic studying until I was working hard through my test. It was a relief to get it done, and I found I got an 84%, which was nice. After it was all said and done though, I came home and crashed on the couch and watched Voltron for a while. I had plans with the roommates to go to Texas roadhouse for dinner, which was also very nice. After that I watched Fantastic Beasts, which I was really excited for. Sadly a lot of people came and went during it which wasn’t what I would like, so I couldn’t hear it. But man, I love that movie so much. I had a bit of a downer moment after that though, which was sad, but it was fine. I was just likely overstimulated after everything. This led to a more rough night since I was anxious, but I still slept a good eight hours because of the meds.

Wednesday was apparently the day where I stopped taking notes. I know I did Q&A hours that no one showed up to, and I worked on stuff, but I can’t remember what else I did. Same with Thursday since I didn’t have my normal class schedule to rely on. I did go and hang out with Maren for roughly an hour after institute that day though, which was nice. Dad arrived that night, which was a big plus, so I got to hang out with him at the hotel and we ended up watching the Birds of Prey movie until midnight.

Friday was a giant fiasco with running to and from car shops to figure out how to fix my car’s battery. It was pretty insane, but I was just thankful to have Dad around, and Mom and Mas when they finally arrived late in the afternoon. The car is all fixed now, which is awesome, so I say it was mission accomplished.

The rest of the weekend was pretty awesome, I got to sleep in the hotel with my family, I finally watched the whole Dark Knight Rises movie, we tried Los Primos which was pretty good. Got a lot of the usual supplies and junk food that my mom lovingly supplies me with (with some for the roommates). And I just got to hang out which was what I really needed.

And now I’m here at home again, writing this while my Sky buddies and I wait for a fourth to join us so we can complete a Season of Assembly puzzle. I’m feeling a lot better than I was earlier this week, so hopefully the good vibes can continue. Wish me luck. Bye!
