Wrapping up the Semester

This week was both really chill and a little crazy. It’s been an odd mix and a bit of a roller coaster if I’m completely honest. But hey, life is weird sometimes.

Monday was pretty alright all things considered. I attended the last official class for my WILD course, where we mostly just worked on practice problems and asked Kezia questions about some of the smaller things that we didn’t all understand. I then was able to have a little time before meeting for therapy, which was a little rough since we had to address some of my more big brain problems that were stressing me out. After that, I crashed for a long while, and eventually got a headache. I was able to hop onto Zoom for the lab meeting though. Apparently, Sara was able to make it with her baby and I got to see them for a little bit, though I was still pretty sad that it wasn’t in person. Everyone was playing the trivia game on jack box, though there weren’t really enough slots for all of us. By the time that was done and I had gotten myself some food, I found out my roommates were wanting to do Secret Santa. I had already had help from Mom with buying ornaments for them all, but agreed to do the Secret Santa anyways. Technically we had to draw two times since Camden wasn’t there the first time and she ended up drawing her own name when she came back. I had Allie first, but then Kayla after the redraw. I had to think pretty hard about what to do for Kayla before I got an idea and went to bed.

Tuesday was… wild. It was definitely one of those days where I was more amped, but not in a bad way. I was stimming a lot after waking up after sleeping through my alarm. When I got into the lab to do work, I kept on needing to fulfill the urge to spin in the spinny chair to be able to focus. I got my brain done, and it turned out alright. However, I wanted to go shopping for Secret Santa, an that didn’t end up happening since I was still all over the place, so I decided instead to do laundry and still be productive. Once I was a little more chill, I agreed to go and help Kenzie study for her Chemistry Final in the library. We had a long adventure getting there with Swig and Wendy’s since Allie kept on getting lost since it was dark and she couldn’t tell where she was driving, but we eventually made it to the library. I was still not ‘great’ so I was a little more sassy than usual and started getting done with people towards the end, but when it got bad, Kenzie pointed out a spinny chair (again XD), that I could go and spin on for a little while to get the bad juju out and give myself a break. It was really nice of her to think of that and I really appreciated her for it. The night ended really nice over all after that, and I even got to write with Maren for some of the night too, which was awesome!

Wednesday was super productive. I got up very early to go and do my brain work in the lab since I really didn’t want to have to work Thursday afternoon. I arrived before the janitors were cleaning the building, even, just so I could have six hours to go through both brains on the docket. I got it done though, and returned home to take a short power nap. When Allie was ready, I asked her to accompany me to Walmart since I don’t like going alone since it is A LOT on my own. I was able to grab my Secret Santa for Kayla: a candle and a stuffed Christmas penguin (she asked me to draw her a penguin and it stuck). After that, I was pretty hungry, and I did a very big accomplishment for myself. I drove and ordered through a drive-thru for the very first time in my life. I felt so proud of myself afterwards and it was worth it for the Del Taco. It was so good, and it put the night on a very good note.

Thursday was a little more lazy. I was able to sleep in, and could still take my WILD final afterwards. Before I took the test, I handed out most of the ornaments to my housemates and they all really liked them! It was really nice. I also arranged for a date to give Maren and Karin theirs so hopefully they’ll like them too. When 2:45 rolled around, I had already studied for my test and got to work on it. It was soooo long. There was a time limit for two hours and I didn’t get it all done in that time (I still had six question to answer), but Kezia is awesome and didn’t honestly expect us to finish since it was eleven pages of math. It was really tricky, but I felt that I did decent on what I was able to answer. And with that, all my classes were finished, which was awesome. I decided to celebrate with mac’n’cheese and it was awesome.

Friday was another lazy start day. I found my Secret Santa’s gift as soon as I exited my room. From the nice note, I could tell it was Karcin since she mentioned talking about Minecraft and I had spent an hour info-dumping on her (sorry Karcin) about it earlier in the week since she told me her sister was into the Dream SMP too. I was really grateful for the nice note, the creeper ornament, and the candy of course XD. I love how I’m now the Minecraft nerd in this place. It’s a strange change of pace, and now Mas and I both have Creeper themed presents. Anyways, I had lunch with my roommates and then had a *cough, cough* scenic route detour on the buses with Kayla on the way back home since there was a bit of an adventure that left her feeling a little frustrated with everything. I gave myself a break after the long walk from the Transit Center to the apartment, and watched Clone Wars for a while since I’m back into Star Wars again. I eventually emerged though when Kenzie texted me to see if I wanted to get some Tandoori. The answer was an obvious yes, and Kenzie really likes Tandoori now (she hadn’t tried it before but wanted to because of my glowing reviews of the place XD).

And now it is Saturday. I have a fair amount that I want to get done before Sunday and Monday, since I’ll be leaving for home again—so today will probably be filled with cleaning and the like. MCC will be happening too, so I’ll have plenty of time to clean while watching. But that about sums everything up. Until next time, bye!
