Hey everybody! I was a bit of a dingus this week, as I forgot to take notes about what happened during the week, so I apologize if this is short. It’s highly likely that I completely forgot about things like I usually do.
Monday was great! I got to relax for a good chunk of the day
just hanging out on Minecraft with my friends. Since the server was restarted,
we’re building up from scratch, but with a few key changes on locations since
not everything is the same in the seed. I also got some schoolwork done that
day, like reviewing stuff for class later in the week. Overall, it was a lovely
continuation to the three day weekend.
Tuesday was different than usual. Our teacher was home sick
so she zoomed into class, and it took a while for them to figure out the
technology, which made the lesson shorter than usual. We talked about the rest
of the innate immune system before she talked about our group project due next
week. I signed up for a group after class, but there were some complications
eventually that took place on Thursday that I’ll mention again later. It was a
nice rest of the day though, since I was pretty exhausted and anxious since the
start. I had to teach the lab meeting that day so I was really nervous about
that. It went well-ish though. I mean, I felt like other people contributed
more than me, and Sara had to clear some things up since I apparently pick
really complicated papers when left to my own devices (even though this time I
tried not to, I apparently failed). Either way, it’s done and said and I don’t
have to do it again for the rest of the semester or worry about it, which is a
relief. I talked to Dad on my way home, which was nice, and called it a night
soon after.
Wednesday had our teacher sending out recordings of her
lectures on B and T cells, which was cool. I am still only thinking of cells at
work for most of class and being impressed by accuracy. Technically, however, I
didn’t watch my lecture until after I had worked on the cryostat. It was a
really good day on the cryostat, so I decided it would be my last practice
brain for the week, and I can get on my project, which is a relief. I didn’t
have to do much else that night, and I also didn’t have food, so I went and
ordered pizza while Allie and Kenzie were watching some strange show. It sounds
like Dr. Stone, but more convoluted and not an anime. After that, I retreated
to my room for the night to go and play Minecraft, since I’d been wanting to
all week.
Thursday was great because I didn’t have to teach lab late
at night. I got my recorded lecture done early in the morning, and was thinking
everything was fine and dandy… until I got an email from the group I had
joined. Apparently I missed the email saying they were meeting that day until
after the meeting time was all gone. This meant I had to find a new group which
made me a little panicky since there is only a week before the assignment is
due. So that sucked. But hey, the cryostat went awesome that day, so that was
nice. And I was able to play Minecraft, which was a stress relief.
Friday was pretty alright. I got some prep for next week’s
lab done, and printed off the lab quizzes. I signed up for my housing contract
for next academic year even though I have to wait to sign up for summer until
march which sucks. I got laundry done. Very productive morning over all. The
cryostat sucked that day though. I talked to Ariel for an hour before my shift
because she was running over time, so I think it might have jinxed the process
and I was pretty social tired. When I got home I had to make food which meant
being upstairs for longer. I like my roommates, I promise, but it can be really
socially draining to be upstairs for more than an hour after an already
draining day. So yeah. That sucked. But hey, I went and got Crumbl with Allie
that night, which was great. And I got to play Minecraft without having to talk
(people on the server are just fine with VC as they are with using the chat
instead and it is wonderful).
And now it is Saturday. I need to go grocery shopping today—I’ve
put it off for long enough and I desperately need milk. So that’s what I’m
doing after posting this. Until next time. Bye!
