Proof of Life

Hey everybody!

Guess what!? I'm alive!

Man, am I really bad about doing these on a consistent basis. It's like there's nothing interesting or new that is happening here... (*insert lenny face here*) But seriously, nothing much has been happening. It's test week which means tests on top of normal coursework loads which sucks. Thankfully, I got most of my stuff for the week done by today, so I should have a nice and easy Friday. Now my only problem might be me getting bored. Thank goodness I plan to go swimming tomorrow and Saturday.

Food Update, because let's face it, it's one of the main reasons to read this post, I tried a new pasta dish, where I combined both the marinara sauce and the alfredo sauce. It makes a pretty dang good sauce for the pasta. In other food news, I've officially tried two cafe's here on campus. The one in the library is alright- Maren and I went there last Thursday- there's nothing but sandwiches but the one I tried was pretty good, it was the only turkey one they had if you guys are curious enough to look it up on the USU website. Today though, we went to Luke's Quad-side Cafe. It was so much better. I had a turkey wrap, where they put turkey, cilantro, swiss cheese, lettuce and bacon into a naan wrap (and man do I love the naan bread here, it has garlic and spices in it and it is such a great texture, it's like the one highlight of the week when they serve it at the junction, but now I don't have to wait for it anymore). It was so freaking good. Like, I'm having that again sometime soon (probably next week to be honest, though I might try a bagel next time, or their sourdough sandwich- but it looks like the meat is served cold on it, and I don't like that a whole lot). But yeah, that's been the new food for the week, nothing else has really changed (I have a routine on what to get now, and isn't that sad).

As for schoolwork, tests are still being graded, and I'm starting to find some good things in my chemistry teacher. So apparently, the weirdo makes these really awkward jokes under his breath, and hasn't caught onto the fact that he's wearing a microphone! Now that I'm listening for it, I can hear a running commentary, and it's seriously hilarious. So yay! One point to Dr. Davidson. All my other classes are going super well. Podgorski and Tonya are still tied for my favorite teachers. Family Finance is still boring. We're learning about Taxes this week... it's super boring, but I didn't expect anything else.

Institute has been nice. On Wednesday, we went almost two hours early into the building and our teacher caught us drawing on our computers outside. He was amazed by it, and asked us to "tutor" him in the ways of technology. It was really funny. On Monday we talked about all the symbolism in the scriptures, and how and what it all might mean. It was great! I actually grasped some of the symbols that I struggled to understand before. We also learned more Hebrew grammar rules, which is always really fun. On Wednesday we learned about prophesies that Christ fulfilled. That was a little less interesting to me, but we watched some movie clips in class, so I was good (that probably came out wrong, but I don't really care that much).

Well, that's the end of my ran at this time. Have a good day! Talk to you all later.
