Hey everyone! (Today's probably going to be pretty short, so sorry)
Today was laundry day, so I had my first experience of waiting an hour for clothes to dry to make sure no one would steal them. There were a lot of little mishaps at first, and I had a lot of help from Mom and a guy who I've kind of just started to call Bernard in my head (I never asked his name, but he was kind enough to tell me how much detergent to use since the numbers on the cup weren't helpful in the least). Thankfully, I didn't have to wait for the washers, just the dryers, but even then it took a really long time. This let me read for a good 50 minutes though, so I can't really complain.
After laundry I spent a lot of time chilling in my room. Eventually it was lunch time and I was able to use my new toaster for the first time. Mom told me that I should have mentioned it in a previous post, but frankly I thought it would be a bit weird to talk about a toaster on a blog. I am making up for that right now though, so this is for you mom. At first, the toaster kind of smelled (the usual kind of smell when it's heating up the first few times), but after a few minutes my toast popped out. It was kind of cool to see psuedo-grill marks on my piece of bread, but when I put that together with a pretty good piece of chicken from the fridge, it was awesome!
On another note, my parents have pointed out to me that I've mostly been talking about food. To address the reason why, it's simple: I'm very surprised college food is good. I figured I would let you guys know that television is wrong about crappy college food. That plus I'm kind of experimenting with what I like to eat now that I have to make all the hard choices. So there. I've explained myself. (Looking back this sentence looks a little hostile, when I'm mostly just trying to be funny and self explanatory at the same time. Forgive me if it sounds rude. I'm trying really hard to not come across that way.)
Later, I went down (yet again) to see my buddy the mail lady. She laughed and let me know that yes, they had my lab coat that Mom sent me, so I grabbed that from her and then headed to the bookstore to return the one that I purchased. As chance would have it, the place was closed, which was a real bummer. Still wanting to do something related to school tasks, I searched professor reviews on rate my professor, and sadly found out that I had all the teachers who had "hard grader" "lecture heavy" "hard tests" on their reviews. Oh boy is school going to be fun. I once again, didn't do much for the rest of the afternoon, spending half of my time writing and the other half reading. It felt very productive over all though in my opinion, so I guess that's a good chunk of what matters.
Soon it was dinner, and while I was waiting for Kamryn, I decided to look up funny D&D stories. It ended with me almost falling over from laughter at some of the antics of D&D players. One delightful dinner later (in which I didn't know what to do with the boy that was staring at me from the other table besides staring back because I wasn't going to back down from that intimidation tactic, even while eating some fairly good onion rings and fries), and I was walking back home to talk to my parents and write some more.
So yeah, not much happened on a crazy scale, but Church is tomorrow, so that should be fun. Wish me luck!
Enjoying this. I think it's entertaining especially comments about food.
